For this project, I went to Karly Martin’s house to scan the puppy house that her mom uses for raising and breeding labradors. The main problem I aimed to solve with this scan was helping distinguish a responsible labrador breeder from puppy mills. I chose this building because the scan would be useful for her mom’s puppy business website, allowing potential customers to virtually tour the facility. This gives them a clear view of the environment the dogs are raised in and shows that they are cared for in a safe and high-quality space.
During the project, I scanned multiple areas of the building. After completing the scans, I went through and labeled all the important items used in the daily care of the dogs. I also created a PowerPoint presentation to accompany the scan, explaining the entire process and the reasoning behind each step. Additionally, I made a walkthrough video demonstrating how to navigate the scan and how various features worked, ensuring that viewers wouldn’t get lost while exploring the virtual space.
