This project comes from my junior year in Video Production class, where I created a cooking tutorial. The main problem I wanted to solve was the pacing of typical cooking videos. Most move too quickly, forcing viewers to constantly pause or rewind to keep up. To address this, I intentionally slowed the pace of my video so viewers could follow each step comfortably, while still keeping it engaging and not overly long.
I also made sure that every step in the cooking process had clear, thorough descriptions, so the instructions were easy to understand. The video demonstrates how to make shepherd’s pie, including a full list of ingredients and a step-by-step walkthrough of the recipe. I edited the entire project myself and incorporated multiple video production techniques throughout the process.
